Burrow — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Appify ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the Burrow mobile application (the "App"). Burrow is designed with privacy in mind — your data is stored locally on your device, and the App does not require any account creation or authentication.
1. Information We Collect
Local Data
All app data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. This includes:
- Inventory items, quantities, and expiration dates
- Categories, storage locations, and consumption history
- Reminders, photos, and app preferences
Authentication
Burrow does not require or offer user authentication. No account creation is needed and no personal information such as email addresses or passwords is collected.
Analytics & Crash Reporting
The App uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data and crash reports. This helps us understand how the App is used and identify issues. The data collected includes:
- Device type, operating system version, and app version
- Anonymous usage events (e.g., feature interactions)
- Crash logs and error diagnostics
This data does not personally identify you. Analytics and crash reporting are disabled in debug/development builds and are only active in production releases.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality
- Diagnose crashes and technical issues
- Understand anonymous usage patterns to guide development
- Process in-app purchases and verify entitlements
3. Third-Party Services
Burrow integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Firebase — Analytics, crash reporting, and remote configuration. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat — In-app purchase management. See RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
- Apple App Store / Google Play Store — In-app purchases are processed through the respective platform's payment systems. We do not have access to your payment details.
4. Device Permissions
The App may request the following device permissions, only when needed:
- Camera — To take photos of items and to scan barcodes.
- Photo Library — To save or select photos.
- Notifications — To send reminders about expiring items. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
All data is stored locally on your device and remains there until you delete it or uninstall the App. Burrow has no cloud storage or remote data retention.
You can delete your data at any time by:
- Removing items, categories, or locations within the App
- Uninstalling the App (removes all local data)
6. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data. All data is stored locally using standard device storage mechanisms. Burrow does not transmit your personal data over the network.
However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
Burrow is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
8. Links to Other Sites
The App may contain links to external websites or services not operated by us. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content or privacy practices of external sites.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
